The Tennessee Hope Scholarship is one of the scholarships under the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship Program (TELS). There area base set of requirements for all TELS programs, and there are additional requirements for the Hope Scholarship and Hope Access Grant programs.

Tennessee HOPE Scholarship Awards

Tennessee HOPE Scholarship and Hope Access Grant give merit based awards (with financial requirements for the Access Grant) to Tennessee high school graduates. The award amounts are based on whether the college is 4 year or 2 year and based on the award type: Hope Scholarship or Hope Access Grant.

The Tennessee Hope Scholarship Award is $4000/year for 4 year institutions and $2000/year for 2-year institutions. The award cannot exceed the cost of tuition. This award is renewable.

The Tennessee Hope Access Grant is $2650 for 4 year institutions and $1700 for 2 year institutions. This award is not renewable. The student must qualify for the Tennessee Hope Scholarship after the first year.
