I went to a Tennessee high school for most of my schooling but graduated from an online school, am I still eligible for the Hope?

This is my first year using the Hope scholarship. I went to orientation at my college, and they said that I would receive an email in which I will need to confirm the college that I will be attending. Will this email be sent to the email I have with the college or the email I used to apply to the FAFSA?

The hope scholarship info I’ve read is that the student should have a 21 on the act OR a 3.0 gpa. However, two families with students currently in college have told me that they found this to truly be AND. They said their kids had to meet both qualifications. Can you verify that the requirement is “OR”?

Not sure what you mean by a “21”. If your GPA is 3.8, you qualify for the Hope Scholarship. If you also have an SAT of 1200 or higher, you should qualify for Zell Miller.

You should contact the admissions office of the college of interest to get a formal response for this question.

It depends on if the classes are offered by a Hope Qualified College/University. For example, if you are taking an online class from UGA and it is a class part of your curriculum, it should be covered. However, as always, you can check with the registrar.
